Finnish First – Studio Loudspeakers in Churches
A quiet revolution is sweeping Finland’s churches, with a series of sound systems bringing studio loudspeakers into the fold.The move towards a better understanding of sound systems and the use of better sound and A/V equipment in Europe’s worship houses generally lags that of the US and certain Asian countries, but there is no doubt that there is a new awareness and the will to explore alternative solutions.
In this respects at least, Finland’s churches are leading the world. Tim Goodyer takes a tour of Lappeenranta.
